About Us
The Valley Sting fastpitch softball organization was originally based out of Poland, Ohio and was started in 1994. From one 14U team, Valley Sting has grown to include fastpitch teams at 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U plus a 14U boys travel baseball team. Today these teams draw players from all over Northeast Ohio and beyond, including Western Pennsylvania.
The Valley Sting organization has been fortunate to have had many girls go on to play in college. Here is a partial list of the colleges that Valley Sting girls have gone on to play for: Maryland, Hofstra, Ball State, Kent State, Akron, Lafayette, Bucknell, UNC Greensboro, Ohio University, Youngstown State, Robert Morris, Bowling Green, Jacksonville State, Ashland, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Edinboro, Gannon, Malone, Westminster, Bethany, Muskingum, Otterbein, Capitol, Geneva, LaRoche, Notre Dame College, Ohio Northern, Hiram, Eastern Oklahoma, John Carroll, Walsh, Ursuline, Seton Hill, Mount Union and Columbia College S.C..
